Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sheetforge (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to the macOS version of Sheetforge distributed through the Mac App Store.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, 3nsofts grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Install and use Sheetforge on any Mac computers that you own or control, as permitted by the Mac App Store Terms of Service.
  • Use the App for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.

3. The App Is Free

Sheetforge is provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, subscription fees, or premium tiers. All features described in the App Store listing are available to all users at no cost.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or attempt to derive its source code, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or rent the App or any portion of it.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices within the App.
  • Use the App to develop a competing product that replicates its core functionality without original contribution.
  • Circumvent any technical measures implemented to protect the App.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

Sheetforge, including its source code, design, graphics, user interface, and documentation, is the exclusive property of 3nsofts and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Content

All spreadsheet files, data, and formulas you create using Sheetforge are entirely your own. 3nsofts claims no ownership over any content you create with the App. Your files remain on your device under your control at all times.

5.3 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports to 3nsofts, you grant 3nsofts a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that feedback for improving the App. You retain ownership of any specific content in your feedback.

6. Apple Intelligence and AI Features

The AI Assistant feature in Sheetforge uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework (Apple Intelligence). Use of AI features is also subject to:

AI-generated formula suggestions and analysis are provided as a convenience tool. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it. 3nsofts makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of AI-generated formulas, data analysis, or any other AI output.

7. File Format Compatibility

Sheetforge supports opening and exporting Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) and native Sheetforge (.sfx) file formats. While we make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility:

  • 3nsofts does not guarantee that all features of third-party file formats will be preserved on import or export.
  • Excel files containing VBA macros, certain chart types, or features outside the OOXML specification supported by Sheetforge may not open or export correctly.
  • You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any file converted between formats before use in a critical context.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

3nsofts does not warrant that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The App or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or harmful components
  • Formula calculations or data analysis results will be accurate in all cases

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL 3NSOFTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF 3NSOFTS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Because Sheetforge is provided free of charge, 3nsofts' total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed USD $0.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including consumer protection laws in certain jurisdictions).

10. Data Loss

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your spreadsheet files. 3nsofts is not liable for any loss of data resulting from software bugs, file corruption, hardware failure, or any other cause. We strongly recommend keeping regular backups of important files using Time Machine or another backup solution.

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled on your device.

12. Updates and Availability

3nsofts may release updates to Sheetforge through the Mac App Store. Updates may change, add, or remove features. 3nsofts reserves the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of any significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which 3nsofts is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those laws.

14. Mac App Store

Your use of the App is also subject to the Mac App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Mac App Store Terms of Service regarding the App, the Mac App Store Terms of Service shall prevail.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted to our website and the “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 3nsofts regarding your use of Sheetforge, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
