Our Core Principle: Your Files Stay on Your Mac
Tidro is designed with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. The app processes your files entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data, file contents, or usage information.
Overview
Tidro is an AI-powered file organiser for macOS. All classification and automation runs locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that receive data from Tidro.
1. What Data Tidro Accesses
To provide its core functionality, Tidro accesses the following data on your device:
- File names and extensions — used to classify documents via Apple Intelligence.
- File system metadata — size, creation date, and parent folder name — used to improve classification accuracy.
- Folder paths you choose to watch — stored locally as security-scoped bookmarks in your device's UserDefaults.
- App settings and preferences — stored locally in UserDefaults (e.g., AI toggle, excluded folders, rule configurations).
None of this data is transmitted off your device.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect any personal identifiers (name, email, IP address, device ID).
- We do not read, copy, upload, or analyse file contents.
- We do not use analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or third-party tracking.
- We do not maintain any servers that receive data from Tidro.
- We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties.
3. Apple Intelligence & On-Device AI
Tidro uses Apple's FoundationModels framework (Apple Intelligence) for document classification. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device language model. Tidro does not send filenames, file contents, or any other data to Apple or to any external server as part of this classification. Apple's own privacy policy governs the Apple Intelligence framework.
4. In-App Purchase
The 'Unlock Unlimited Rules' in-app purchase is processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. Tidro does not receive, store, or process any payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.
5. Data Storage
All data Tidro stores — watched folder bookmarks, rule configurations, activity history, and settings — is stored locally in SwiftData and UserDefaults on your Mac. This data does not leave your device and is not backed up to any Tidro server. Standard macOS iCloud backup behaviour may apply depending on your system settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Tidro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Your Rights
Because we do not collect any personal data, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All data stored by Tidro exists solely on your device and can be removed by deleting the application.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are located in Turkey, you have rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK — Law No. 6698). In both cases, as we process no personal data, these rights relate only to data stored locally on your own device.
8. Third-Party Services
Tidro does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs beyond the Apple platform frameworks (StoreKit, FoundationModels, FSEvents, CoreSpotlight, ImageIO). Apple's privacy policy applies to those frameworks.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date above and publish the updated policy at https://3nsofts.com/Tidro/privacy. Continued use of Tidro after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
