Waveforge — Terms of Use
Last updated: June 13, 2026
These terms govern your use of Waveforge, a macOS application developed by 3Nsofts (Ehsan Azish). By downloading, installing, or using Waveforge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app is free
Waveforge is free, forever. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no paid tiers, and no watermarks. It is distributed through the Mac App Store at no cost.
2. License
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Waveforge on Macs you own or control, in accordance with the Mac App Store terms of service and these terms. You may use Waveforge for personal and commercial projects alike — the audio, podcasts, and music you create with it are yours.
3. Your content is yours
Waveforge processes your audio entirely on your own device. You retain all rights to the audio you import, record, edit, and export. 3Nsofts claims no ownership of and has no access to your content. Because Waveforge has no network access, your content never reaches us.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the rights to any audio you import, edit, or distribute using Waveforge (for example, music you do not own the rights to).
- Complying with applicable laws regarding the recording of audio, including obtaining consent where required to record other people's voices.
- Maintaining your own backups of important projects and audio. While Waveforge saves self-contained project packages, you are responsible for safeguarding your files.
5. No warranty
Waveforge is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use Waveforge at your own risk.
While Waveforge is built to handle your audio carefully and non-destructively, always keep backups of irreplaceable recordings and files. 3Nsofts is not responsible for any loss of data, audio, or projects.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3Nsofts (Ehsan Azish) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, audio, projects, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use Waveforge — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because Waveforge is provided free of charge, this limitation reflects the nature of the app as a no-cost contribution to the Mac ecosystem.
7. Third-party components
Waveforge's optional on-device transcription uses a speech-recognition model distributed under its own open-source license. Use of the app is also subject to Apple's Mac App Store and Licensed Application terms. Waveforge is built on Apple's native frameworks and does not bundle GPL-licensed media dependencies.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Waveforge to create, edit, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or violates applicable regulations. Waveforge is a tool; responsibility for how it is used rests with you.
9. Changes to the app and these terms
Waveforge may be updated over time, with features added, changed, or removed. These terms may be updated accordingly; the current version will always be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Termination
You may stop using Waveforge and delete it at any time. These terms remain in effect for as long as you use the app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law in the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and subject to the Mac App Store terms where applicable.
