Privacy Policy

The short version

Stillgrow does not collect your data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device or syncs through your private iCloud account, which only you can access. We have no servers. We have no analytics. We have no ads. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else.

Who we are

Stillgrow is an iOS application developed by 3N Softs, an independent software studio operated by Ehsan Azish. We are the data controller for the limited interactions Stillgrow has with your device.

What Stillgrow does with data

Health data (HealthKit)

Stillgrow can optionally read the following data from Apple's HealthKit framework if you grant permission:

  • Heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Resting heart rate
  • Sleep stages and duration

This data is used to generate the visual characteristics of plants in your garden. The data is read on-device, processed on-device, and never transmitted off your device.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Stillgrow. If you revoke access, Stillgrow continues to work using your manually entered mood and energy levels instead.

Health data is:

  • ✅ Stored only on your iPhone — never transmitted
  • ✅ Processed locally, never uploaded
  • ✅ Never shared with third parties
  • ✅ Controlled by Apple's HealthKit security framework

Mood and energy entries

When you tap a seed without HealthKit access, Stillgrow asks how you feel. This information is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, synced to your private iCloud database. This data is not transmitted to 3N Softs or any third party.

Garden data (your plants)

Each plant you grow is stored on your device with the following information:

  • The date and time it was grown
  • The visual parameters that define its appearance (color, form, glow, etc.)
  • The state vector that generated it (a numeric summary of your physiological or self-reported state)

This data persists on your device and, with iCloud sync enabled, in your private iCloud database.

Notification preferences

If you enable daily seed reminders, Stillgrow uses Apple's notification framework to schedule a single local notification at your chosen time. No notification data is transmitted to any server.

Crash reports and diagnostics

Stillgrow does not collect or transmit crash reports, analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or any other diagnostic data. If Stillgrow crashes, the crash log goes to Apple under your existing iOS settings — not to us.

What Stillgrow does NOT do

  • ❌ We do not have a server. There is no Stillgrow backend.
  • ❌ We do not collect personal information — no name, email, location, or device identifier.
  • ❌ We do not track you. No analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or attribution libraries.
  • ❌ We do not show ads. Stillgrow is a paid app with no advertising of any kind.
  • ❌ We do not sell data. We have no data to sell.
  • ❌ We do not share data with third parties. There are no third parties involved.
  • ❌ We do not use cookies or web beacons. Stillgrow is not a web application.
  • ❌ We do not have access to your iCloud data. CloudKit private databases are end-to-end encrypted.

iCloud sync

If you sign into iCloud on your device and grant Stillgrow iCloud access, your garden, plants, and mood entries sync to your private iCloud database. This is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit framework.

  • The data is stored in your private iCloud space, not in any shared or public area.
  • The data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Apple cannot read this data — it is encrypted with keys only your devices hold.
  • We cannot read this data — we have no access to your iCloud account.

If you sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud for Stillgrow, your data remains on your device but stops syncing. You can also delete all synced data using Apple's iCloud storage management tools.

Children's privacy

Stillgrow is rated 4+ and is appropriate for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, including children. Because Stillgrow does not collect data, the question of children's data does not arise.

Your rights

Because Stillgrow does not transmit your data anywhere, traditional data subject rights apply only to data on your own device.

You can:

  • Delete all your data by uninstalling Stillgrow from your device. To also remove iCloud-synced data, use the iCloud storage management tools in iOS Settings.
  • Revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Stillgrow.
  • Disable iCloud sync at any time through iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Stillgrow.

For users in the European Union, you have the rights granted by the GDPR. Because we do not process your data, most of these rights are exercised through Apple's iCloud controls and your device settings rather than through us.

For users in California, you have the rights granted by the CCPA. We do not sell personal information. We have no personal information to sell.

In-app purchases

Stillgrow is sold as a one-time purchase through Apple's App Store. We do not handle payment information. Apple processes all transactions and does not share your payment details with us.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at 3nsofts.com/stillgrow/privacy with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice on the next app launch.

Stillgrow is built by an independent developer who genuinely believes calm apps should not surveil their users. This privacy policy reflects that belief in legal language. The actual implementation reflects it in code.
