Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Paperforge (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Ehsan Azish grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Paperforge on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Mac App Store Terms of Service.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App to any third party
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App

3. One-Time Purchase

Paperforge is sold as a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription fees. The license granted upon purchase covers the version purchased and any free updates released for that major version, at the developer's discretion.

Major version upgrades, if any, may require a separate purchase.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, icons, and written content, is the intellectual property of Ehsan Azish and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the App's intellectual property other than the limited license described in Section 2.

5. Your Content

Paperforge is a tool for creating and editing documents on your own device. You retain full ownership of all content you create or edit using the App. The developer claims no rights over your documents, files, or any output generated using the App's features.

You are solely responsible for the content you create, store, or publish using the App, and for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws.

6. AI-Generated Content

The App includes AI-powered writing assistance features that use Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before use.

The developer makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated output for any particular purpose.

7. Git and Version Control Integration

The App includes Git integration features that interact with remote repositories you configure. You are responsible for your use of those repositories, including compliance with the terms of service of any third-party Git hosting services (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

The developer is not responsible for data loss, unauthorized access, or any other issues arising from your use of remote Git repositories.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

The developer does not warrant that:

  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any errors in the App will be corrected
  • AI features will produce accurate, complete, or reliable results

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ehsan Azish shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business — arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

The developer's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled on your device.

11. Updates and Changes to the App

The developer may release updates to the App at any time. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes. The developer reserves the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The updated Terms will be published with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is resident, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

14. App Store Terms

Your purchase and download of the App through the Mac App Store is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms govern with respect to the App Store transaction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
