Our Core Principle: Your Data Stays on Your Device

HobbyIt stores all your personal data — habit entries, health logs, and profile settings — locally on your deviceusing Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate external databases, collect your habit or health data, or transmit it to any server.

HobbyIt: Health & Habits ("the App", "we", "our") is an iOS and iPadOS application that helps you build and track personal hobbies and wellness habits. This policy explains what data we handle, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

1. Data You Provide Directly

All of the following is stored exclusively on your device:

Hobbies and habit entries — names, archetypes, goals, session logs, and notes.
Diet and nutrition logs — meal entries, ingredient selections, and calorie/macro targets.
Quit-counter data — daily counts, cost-per-unit, and original usage targets for habits you are trying to quit.
User profile — optional display name and preference settings stored locally.
Notification preferences — reminder times you configure per hobby.

2. HealthKit Data (Optional)

With your explicit permission, the App may read from and write to Apple HealthKit to autofill workout, sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness data. HealthKit data is used only within the App to populate your logs; it is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HobbyIt.

HealthKit data types the App may access (only when granted permission):

Workouts, Active Energy Burned
Distance (Walking/Running, Cycling, Swimming)
Mindful Sessions, Sleep Analysis
Body Mass
Dietary Energy, Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat, Water

3. Purchase and Subscription Data

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card or payment information. StoreKit 2 provides us only with a non-identifiable transaction receipt to verify your subscription status on-device.

4. AI Coach Tips

Personalised coaching tips may be generated using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework (available on supported devices). No personal data is transmitted to external AI servers. On unsupported devices, tips are pre-written and selected locally.

5. Crash and Diagnostic Data

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with Apple, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash reports through App Store Connect. These contain no personally identifiable information.

How We Use Your Data

To display your habit history, progress charts, and milestone achievements.
To generate personalised AI coaching tips on-device.
To send local push notifications at reminder times you configure.
To verify your Pro subscription status.
To improve app stability via anonymised crash diagnostics (with your consent through Apple's system).

Data Storage and Security

All personal data — hobby entries, logs, and profile settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and the device Keychain. We do not operate any external databases that store your personal data. Data is protected by iOS device-level encryption and, where applicable, Face ID / Touch ID.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising networks.

The only external parties that may process limited technical data are:

Apple Inc. — for App Store distribution, StoreKit transactions, HealthKit integration, and optional crash diagnostics. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the App, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data exists entirely on your device. You can delete all data at any time by:

Deleting individual hobbies or entries within the App.
Deleting the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data.

To revoke HealthKit permissions, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HobbyIt.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data on external servers, standard data-access and portability requests are fulfilled entirely by deleting or exporting data on your device. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://3nsofts.com/hobbyit/privacy with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
