Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does MakTabs work with Firefox?
Not in v1.0. Safari, Chrome, and Arc are supported. Firefox has limited AppleScript support — we are investigating alternatives for a future update.
Will MakTabs slow down my Mac?
No. MakTabs only runs when you interact with it. There is no background scanning, no continuous monitoring, and no performance impact on your Mac.
Is it safe to grant Automation permission?
Yes. MakTabs only uses Automation to read browser tab titles and URLs and terminal working directories. It never sends data anywhere. MakTabs makes zero network requests — you can verify this with any network monitor.
Does MakTabs sync across Macs?
Not in v1.0. All data is stored locally on your Mac. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap.
What happens if an app is not installed when I restore?
MakTabs skips apps that are not found and continues restoring everything else. Missing apps are shown as skipped in the restore summary.
Stop rebuilding your environment. Just restore it.
One tap to save your entire working state. One tap to bring it all back — tabs, apps, windows, terminals. MakTabs pays for itself in the first morning.
